Our main street has been completely repaved within Bedford over the past few years. The rough area around Fisherman’s Market and Larry Uteck is not within my district, but Councillor Hum and I have worked together with HRM staff on this issue.
I am pleased to re-confirm that this area will be repaved this summer. It was purposely left “as is” for a couple of years, as it was anticipated that Halifax Water would be upgrading and expanding water services in that area. HRM did not want to have to do the work twice. Halifax Water is not moving forward with their proposed work, so HRM will now begin paving!
You will also see paving projects on the Hammonds Plains Road and Douglas Drive this summer.
