Wednesday, March 26, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Due to the increasingly hazardous weather and road conditions, Metro Transit will begin ramping down its bus service starting at 11 a.m.
Buses that are on the roads at that time will drop off all passengers at their destinations and finish their routes, weather permitting, before returning to the depot in Burnside.
Metro Transit staff will continue to monitor weather and road conditions throughout the day and will re-assess when service can resume safely.
Ferry service will continue until further notice.
Residents can get updates on service on Metro Transit’s website at http://www.halifax.ca/metrotransit/Schedules/index.asp, via @hfxtransit and @hfxgov on Twitter and through Public Service Announcements posted at http://www.halifax.ca/mediaroom/pressrelease/releases.html.
