Ryan from the popular Facebook group, Citizens for Metro Transit on Google Transit let everyone know that the quest to get HRM Transit data integrated into Google Maps has been sucessful – you can now find out which bus routes to take you to any address in HRM.  From his message:

I just found out today that Metro Transit now has its data on Google Transit. Check it out at http://maps.google.ca. Once you get there click on "Get Directions", enter your start and finish queries, select "By public transit" and then click on the "Get Directions" button.

Try it, it’s pretty cool.  Also don’t forget to check out the awesome hbus.ca site which has been serving up local transit data for some time now.
