Man Faces Weapons Charges

 
A man faces charges in connection with an incident that took place on a
Metro Transit bus yesterday in Dartmouth.
 
At 3:46 p.m., police responded to a call at the Metro Transit bus
terminal at 110 Wyse Road in Dartmouth. Two men on a bus got into an
argument and one of them discharged a sensory irritant. Nine people had
to be treated by EHS at the scene. The suspect fled on foot but was
arrested a short time later at Alderney Landing. A search of the suspect
resulted in officers seizing a can of sensory irritant.
 
Twenty-five-year-old Donald Joseph McNamara was scheduled to appear in
Dartmouth Provincial Court today. He faces charges of possession of a
weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, possession
of a prohibited weapon, mischief and nine counts of assault with a

 

At 3 46 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a call at the Metro Transit bus terminal at 110 Wyse rd. Dart. A male had sprayed a sensory irritant while on the bus, he then fled the area on foot. Five bus passengers were affected by the irritant, but medical attention was not necessary  for these parties. A 25 year old male has been arrested in the vicinity, the matter is still under investigation at this time.
