Millbrook RCMP arrests man for attempted murder

Millbrook, Nova Scotia

On November 9, Millbrook RCMP, with assistance from Colchester District RCMP and the Truro Police Service, arrested a man for attempted murder in the stabbing of another man at a Millbrook home.

At approximately 1 a.m., Millbrook RCMP responded to a 911 call that a 56-year-old man had been stabbed in a home on Fern Dr.

Police attended to the victim’s wounds and the victim was transported by EHS LifeFlight with serious injuries.

Police located the suspect, a 42-year-old Millbrook man known to the victim, attempting to flee the scene. A struggle ensued and the suspect was arrested and taken into custody. He may face additional charges in relation to this incident.

He remains in custody following the arrest and will appear in Truro Provincial Court at a later date.

The investigation is continuing.
