Karma Bridal has opened Karma Prom and Formal at Woodlawn Mall

O’Healthy Market has opened in Dartmouth, Queen @ Victoria. Cute shop, some produce, frozen meats, tempeh, tofu, etc. and selection of health food items.

North Mountain Pies in the Seaport market has closed.

Open Dates are set for the next two,  Fit 4 Less  gyms. Dresden Row Feb 16th, Bedford Place Mar 3rd.

Milstone Public House on Baker Dr (where Rocco’s was) opens today at 4.

The Old Apothecary Bakery on Barrington is expanding into the space beside them.

PretzelMaker in Halifax Shopping Centre is done.


In Bayers Lake the signage up on Canadian Tire (old Target) which will replace Clayton Park next month.

Also, in Bayers Lake, Urban Kids is opening late summer.

On Lacewood, Fong Sing, Anna’s and Ricks have relocated to the other side of the parking lot. Mezza should be open relatively soon and the Dollarama is under construction.

Danier Leather is seeking creditor protection and stores have begun “liquidation sales.”

Meanwhile, in Dartmouth Crossing, a Stitches MegaStore is coming and rumoured GAP Factory Store as well.

The Pearle Vision in Spring Garden Place is closing at the end of March.


Lowes is coming east as they have agreed to buy the Rona chain. They are expected only to convert a few selected stores (TBD) to the Lowes banner, though.
