BMW, owner of Mini, has just given the green light for production of the Superleggera Concept.
The concept has been making the rounds at a few auto shows so far and represents one of the biggest styling departures for the brand in recent memory.
Rumour has it that it will keep most of the concept’s styling elements.
The droptop will reportedly feature Mini’s 1.5 L 3-cylinder engine and the company’s 2.0 L/ 4 cylinder engine. A John Cooper Works version wouldn’t seem out of place either.
The Superleggera is expected to make its debut for the 2018 model year.
