At 9:38 p.m. 13 March, Halifax Regional Police, HRM Fire & Emergency Service and Emergency Health Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on the 111 Highway at Exit 7, Portland Street Dartmouth.
A single vehicle lost control and struck a street lamp pole, knocking it over at the base and exposing wires. The drive was the lone occupant, sustained minor injuries and has been transported to the hospital.
The Highway was icy at the time of the collision. The Dept. of Transportation has attended and spread salt on the Highway.
Traffic Blocked: Traffic is reduced to one lane in both directions on the 111 Highway near Exit 7, while the street light pole is removed.
