Minor injuries after crash in Dartmouth

At 9:38 p.m. 13 March, Halifax Regional Police, HRM Fire & Emergency Service and Emergency Health Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on the 111 Highway at Exit 7, Portland Street Dartmouth.​

​ A single vehicle lost control and struck a street lamp pole, knocking it over at the base and exposing wires.​ The drive was the lone occupant, sustained minor injuries and has been transported to the hospital.​

The Highway was icy at the time of the collision.​ The Dept. of Transportation has attended and spread salt on the Highway.

Traffic Blocked: Traffic is reduced to one lane in both directions on the 111 Highway near Exit 7, while the street light pole is removed.​ ​
