Release:
We continue to try and locate 57-year-old Katrina MacIntyre, whose family has been unable to maintain contact with her for an extended period of time.
Katrina also sometimes uses the name Ashley Mattice, and is known to reside primarily in the downtown Sydney area; we have determined that she visited the CIBC on Dorchester Street August 10th between 1:30 and 2:00 PM, but have not been able to confirm any information on her whereabouts since then.
She does not have a personal phone and her periodic communication with family and friends has primarily been through Internet access at the Sydney branch of the Cape Breton Regional Library; but, it is uncommon for Katrina to not maintain contact for this length of time, and police want to help family confirm her wellbeing.
Katrina is described as approximately 5’ 5” tall with a thin build, blond hair and a tattoo on one leg; in addition to the original photo shared, we now have a more recent photo from early in 2023, and the most recent photo from video surveillance at the CIBC.
If you have information on Katrina’s whereabouts, or previously associated with Katrina or Ashley in downtown Sydney and have additional information to share about her, please contact us at 902-563-5151 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
