RCMP release:

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 77-year-old Basil Short. He was last seen just after 5 p.m. today at a residence on Caldwell Rd. in Eastern Passage.

Short is described as 5-foot-9, approximately 155 pounds. He has brown eyes and short white hair. He walks with a limp and could be wearing glasses. Short was last seen in dark pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and a heavy vest.

When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those who know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.
