HRP release:

Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 77-year-old man. 

Basil Short was last seen around 2:45 p.m. this afternoon in the 1200 block of South Park Street in Halifax after he left his residence. He was reported missing to police at 5:00 p.m.  He is described as white, approximately 5’10” tall, slim build, balding with grey hair. He is wearing glasses and was last seen wearing a black puffy coat.  

Basil suffers from dementia and his caregivers have concerns for his safety and well-being. There is however no information to suggest foul play.
