(Found ) Missing person: Help police locate Quentin Rafuse

The 16-year-old teen who was reported missing July 31 from Simms Settlement, Lunenburg County, N.S. has been located and is safe.

Lunenburg County District RCMP is asking the public to refrain from entering wooded areas that are being searched by Ground Search and Rescue Teams and the RCMP Police Dog Services.

Searchers have encountered people who were conducting their own searches which can inhibit the search.

Although intentions are positive, we ask that you leave the searching of wooded areas to the Ground Search and Rescue Teams and RCMP Police Dog Services. To assist with this search RCMP is asking residents along Hwy 3 in Simms Settlement and the 329 Hwy in and around Hubbards and Fox Point to check any exterior garages, camps or cottages, trailers or abandoned vehicles on your property and to call police if you locate Rafuse.

Lunenburg County District RCMP ‎are asking for the public’s help to find 16 year Quentin Rafuse of Simms Settlement.

Rafuse was last seen at approximately 10:30 a.m. in a wooded area around ‎Fox Point Lake. He was reported missing at 2:00 p.m. today.

Rafuse is described as a white, 5’7″ male with short brown hair, brown eyes and a thin build, weighing approximately 120 lbs. He is wearing a red T-Shirt and dark shorts and white sneakers.

An extensive search is underway in the Simm Settlement area of Lunenburg County with RCMP Police Dog Services, Department of Natural Resources Helicopter, along with Halifax and Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue Teams.

Police are asking local residents along Highway #3 in Simms Settlement and Highway #329 around Hubbards/Fox Point to check any exterior garages, camps, or cottages in the area and to call police if they see Mr. Rafuse.
