Missing your firearms? If so, RCMP want to hear from you – Cole Harbour

Halifax District RCMP is asking for the public to check their gun lockers after long guns were seized during a recent search of a residence in Cole Harbour.

On March 8, Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) and Cole Harbour Detachment, conducted a search of a residence in Cole Harbour when they located the firearms that are believed to be stolen from the Cole Harbour area. As a result, RCMP is asking gun owners to contact them if you may have been a victim of property crime involving the theft of firearms and did not report it to police.

If you have information that may assist in locating the owners of these firearms, you are asked to contact the Halifax District RCMP at 902-244-7208. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can also contact Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit tips by Secure Web Tips atwww.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award.
