At 5:44pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a missing 11 year old boy in the area of Carlton ST, Dartmouth.
The child had been playing in the back yard of his home and wandered into an adjacent wooded area. Patrol and K-9 members searched the wooded area and were able to locate the boy when his yelling was heard.
The boy had been attempting to make it to a power line when he realized he was lost, however his feet became stuck in a swamp. He was uninjured, ok and reunited with his parents. Halifax Regional Fire also responded to assist in attempting to locate the boy.
