Modern Day Audrey

For last week’s Style Panel Challenge for Fashion Magazine we simply had to photograph our Halloween costumes, and provide some suggestions for dressing up. For Halloween I decided to be none other than Audrey Hepburn. A style icon, with a classic timeless look; what’s not to love about her? We shot these photos downtown on a Sunday afternoon when the streets were quiet and desolate. I’m not going to lie I sort of felt like a movie star when I got out of the car and I slipped into my evening gloves. The people that were out and about quickly figured out what was happening and joined in on my laughter and fun! 

I wish I could dress like this everyday, sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. But then again I have worn this outfit (minus the gloves and cigarette holder of course) to an event in the past. Actually come to think of it, the funny part is I literally only needed to purchase two pieces to make this costume complete! I love Halloween, but mostly because I love dressing up; maybe in another life I was an actress? who knows.
