Monday Shoe Porn: a dozen from Joyce

L-A: Welcome to the first Monday of shoe porn of the twentydime! I wish I could take credit for the word twentydime, but that genius belongs to twittering by White Lightning (one of my faves blogs, which I know, I’ve said already).  But back to the shoe porn. We’ve even got shoes from dudes lined up for the 2010.  This week the shoes belong to Joyce. As always, comments are from the shoe’s owners.

Payless - pseudo-Victorian button-up boots. Thses are also a 5 inch heel and so utterly impossible for me to wear in ice and snow. Unknown - got these at a clothing swap from Eden. 5 inch heels! I like to wear them and experience what it's like to be tall. Franco Sarto/Winsby's - The Ultimate Shoe for me. Winners - Pointy-toed shoes bought on the advice of Stacey from What Not To Wear. Winsby's - I've only worn these a couple of times, as they have a .5 inch heel and a peep toe and sequins. There never seems to be an appropriate occasion. Wal-mart - My actual winter boots. Note salt line from last winter. Comfortable, warm, walkable-in and cheap. Wal-mart - my everyday shoes. Weaver and Devore Trading LTD, Yellowknife - Not sure if these should really count as a shoe, but I have worn them outside. They came from a camping outfitters in the North and are so cozy. Although the rabbit fur has led to cats carrying them around the house and making it hard to find the pair. Transit - silver mary janes are the best. These might actually be almost worn out but I can't bear to throw them away. Running Room These came from a little shop in Scotia Square that I can't remember the name of. It also sold clothes and shower curtains and was sort of Euro-trendy. These are cute yet comfy. Keds - I love these shoes! Even if people have made jokes about cameltoe.

L-A: I’m always impressed with other people’s Payless finds, because I have zero luck with that place. I like the pseudo-Victorian boot.  I also enjoy the Keds, but I have a soft spot for that sort of shoe, regardless of whether it’s the most stylish shoe on the market.  Plus I like the cameltoe joke that goes with them. Reminded me of this gem:

p.s. don’t forget – we’re off tomorrow, but back on Wednesday. Don’t hate us.
