Monday Shoe Porn: Amy’s babies

L-A: Welcome to your Monday fix of looking at other people’s shoes. I apologize we didn’t have shoes for you last week. But Amy’s collection should make up for that. I mean, just look! She did a group shot of her babies!

I might be jealous of her closets. Or of her organizational skills. Because my shoes live in boxes, on shelves, under beds, and under the desk at work.

Now let’s meet Amy’s babies. I apologize that the group shot will appear again, my computer skills only go so far and I’m bound to the WordPress gallery setting for images. If anyone knows of a better way to do this (using WordPress), let me know and I’ll make you our intern (interns are paid in cookies, nutella muffins and gratitude).

Silver pumps-Spring (gift) - These were my Christmas shoes my hubby picked out for me this year. Haven't worn them yet, but hopefully I'll have an occasion to soon!  Dark brown pumps-Steve Madden (Winners) - I've had these shoes for about two years and have worn them a hundred times. They're comfy and go with everything. They have a bit of a snakeskin pattern which makes them kind of interesting. Brown boots-Le Chateau - I wear these slouchy boots a lot. Comfy and easy to walk in. They also have grippy soles which makes wipeouts less likely.  Leopard pumps-Spring - These are my cougar-in-training shoes. I've only worn them a couple times but seriously how much fun are they!?  Emerald green pumps-Spring (gift) - Again, from my hubby. These were a Valentine gift this year. Haven't worn them yet.  Open-toe tan pumps-725 (Walmart) - CONFESSION: I have Walmart shoes. More than one pair actually! I love these in summer with skirts and dresses or my white pants.  Orange cutout pumps-Miss Me (Le Chateau) - Worn these puppies only twice and I don't know why. I love them. You have to be careful what you wear them with-black looks too Halloweeny but they're cute with dark gray or with jeans.  Red and black open toe pumps--Gossip (Shoe Company) - These were super cheap, like $25 clearance. The heel is a little lower than most of my shoes My wedding shoes! Gold sandals-Aldo - I had to get DIVA GELS to survive 10+ hours in these mofos. They're 4-5" high and despite wearing a wedding gown that touched the floor AND being inebriated I didn't fall down once on my big day.  Black patent pumps-Beverley Feldman (Kick Ass Shoes) - These are my sluttiest shoes by a long shot. I wore them to work one day and felt just a tad too hookerish. Corsets in the back + government client = not a good mix. But I love them. Seriously! How hot are those? Pony hair open toe pumps-Nine West (Kick Ass Shoes) - I pointed these out to Peter in the KAS window one day. Later that week he comes home from work with them. Do you see why I married this man?! These might be my favourite shoes but they're bitches to walk in.  Patent leather pumps-Winners - These are my go-to shoes for work or pretty much any occasion. I've spent more repairing them than on the actual shoes. I don't care. I love them. They go with everything.  Sandals-Spring - Loooooove these guys. I got them last summer and have worn them into the winter with black tights-I even wore them to our office Christmas party. Surprisingly easy to walk in.  Black leather booties-Spring (gift) - Another Christmas gift from hubsters. These guys are wicked comfy and cute with pants or skirts.  Tweed pumps-Winners - I've had these things for years and they are as comfy as walking on a cloud. I wear them all the time.  Tweed round-toe pumps-Mossimo (Zellers) - Yes, I also have Zellers shoes! I bought these very shortly after moving to Halifax when I realized that having more than one pair of shoes to wear to work was important, yet my account coordinator salary did not allow me to go on any KAS sprees. I haven't worn them in ages but they're still kinda cute. Brown leather pumps-New York Transit (Winners) - These were my favourite shoes for a really long time. I used to wear them constantly. I never took the size sticker out of them so there's still a little yellow sticker left. What a dirtball.  Mint green pumps-Spring (gift) - Also a V-day gift from Peter. I haven't worn them yet-hence the tissue paper and plastic thingy in the shoe in the back. I can't wait to haul these puppies out this spring. I love the colour and the heel height is just right for spring frolicking.  Cobalt blue pumps-725 (Walmart) - Walmart again...I decided I wanted bright blue shoes but didn't want to pay a fortune for something I'd be sick of probably after two weeks. Enter good ol' Walmart. I get compliments every time I wear these things.  Sandals-Payless - I got these in the BOGO sale at Payless. I HATE flip flops--these are the closest I get. I wore them sooo much last summer.  Black flats-Joe Fresh - These shoes are basically rotten I've worn them so much. Why won't I fork over $29 for a shiny new pair? Because I'm a stingy biatch.  Snakeskin-ish print flats-Payless - These got wet and now they smell super funky after more than 10 minutes of wear. And yet I don't throw them out.  Nike+ runners (Cleves) - Just got these babies on the weekend after I blew a hole in my old pair. They sync up with my iPod and tell me how long each of my runs is, my pace, calories burn, etc. MAGIC SHOES!!  Sneakers, BUM-Walmart - The poor gal's Pumas. I wore them in Paris and didn't get accosted by the fashion police. Good enough for Paris, good enough for Hali.  Slides-Adidas (Sport Chek) - I had a black pair in high school and wore them everywhere. They seemed a lot comfier back then.  Ridiculous mukluks-Airwalk (Payless) - I got these guys several years ago and I insist on wearing them in spite of the fact they look like dead raccoons. They're unbelievably warm and cozy.  Gray boots-Le Chateau - These are mid-calf and flat and not as comfy as they look. I like them with leggings and skinny jeans.  Black leather boots, Steve Madden (Kick Ass Shoes) - Love these and wear them everywhere!  Black boots, Le Chateau - I have worn the crap out of these this year. I got them in fall and the soles are already worn out, so I'm not impressed with the quality of them...but I wear them anyway.  My babies.

Not only am I jealous of her closet/organizing skills, but I’m jealous that her husband buys her pretty shoes. I’m pretty sure El Jeffe and the other husband (mine) will now be getting looks that say, “why aren’t I getting shoes for birthday/christmas/president’s day?”

And don’t forget, we’re always looking for more shoe collections for the shoe porn.  You can either email us or upload them to the flickr group (whatever is easiest).
