Monte Carlo Fundraising Seminars for Charitable Organizations

Monte Carlo fundraising seminars will be held across the province to support charitable organizations and community groups to raise funds in their communities.

This is through the Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation’s Support4Communities Program, which provides charitable organizations with information and resources to help them raise funds.

A Monte Carlo fundraiser is a mock casino gaming event licensed by the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division of Service Nova Scotia. Tickets are usually sold in advance and attendees receive play money at the door to play mock casino blackjack and other carnival-style games.

Each three-hour seminar includes Monte Carlo 101, where participants are shown key components of the fundraiser. This session includes templates to help with planning, an event checklist and suggested rules of play for mock blackjack.

There is also an introduction to the Support4Communities Casino Nights Program, which provides organizers with in-kind support. Organizations can apply to borrow gaming equipment such as blackjack mats and play money.
