The bold Monty. My big beautiful boy. We’ve always had dogs and after our lovely Sequoia ( a gorgeous Rhodesian Ridgeback) passed away, thought maybe we would welcome a cat into our home. I am so glad we did. Cats really are different. They lack the exuberance of dogs but add a quiet, warm, if somewhat aloof at times, presence. Of course, when he is racing about the house going from window to window tracking some bird or squirrel, making urgent noises and whipping his tail, a bit of decorum is lost but he soon calms down, sits, licks his paws and checks me out as if to say “What are you looking at?”
