Today, two of our Police Service Dogs were presented with a K-9 Unit badge, honouring and fully recognizing them as invaluable members of our police service.
“All of the dogs in the K-9 Unit are highly trained and play a key role within our police service,” said Halifax Regional Police Chief Jean-Michel Blais. “These dogs are trained to track lost people, detect illegal drugs and apprehend fleeing suspects on command. They are dedicated workers who have truly earned their badges. An HRP badge confirms a commitment to both Halifax Regional Police and the communities we serve.”
Thanks to each member of the K-9 Unit for their ongoing dedication and commitment to protecting and serving.
A special thanks to the handlers for showing such care and pride for their dogs.
Congratulations to our beloved Police Service Dogs – Jynx and Sully!
