More September events

I can tell September is coming because I’m getting a lot more event notices.

From the Chebucto Community Health team, which has expanded its services:
Now serves those who live, work or have a family doctor in -Beechville, Lakeside, Timberlea (BLT), Hackett’s Cove, Hatchet Lake, Hubbards, Peggy’s Cove, Prospect, St.
Margaret’s Bay, Tantallon, Terrence Bay in addition to our already served communities of Halifax Mainland (postal codes: B3M, B3N, B3P, B3R, B3S, B3V). We are working to offer programs and services in these new to us communities, so stay tuned! In the meantime, people from these communities can register for existing programs.

Registration opens September 9th. Clients may register for programs on or after September 9th by calling 902-487-0690, online at www.communityhealthteams.ca or by dropping in to the office.
New this Fall:
-Ready, Set, Move! 5 Week Program
-Community Health Team Social
-New lunch time and evening times for Community Health Team Drop in

This Saturday there will be a community clean up in the Greystone neighbourhood. Volunteers are needed:
Saturday August 30, 9am to 2pm @ Greystone Spryfield
Please come and help, we can make difference one community at a time!
(please meet at the Family SOS office Greystone Drive)
There will be some snacks and the necessary clean up materials provided such as garbage bags and gloves…
The Metropolitan Regional Housing Authority is also planning to install a community playground in Greystone and to fix up the basketball court.
