Motor Vehicle Accident in Cole Harbour

November 4, 2014, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)… Halifax District RCMP in Cole Harbour responded to a single vehicle accident on Hines Rd., Eastern Passage.
 
At approximately 9:10 p.m., last evening the RCMP responded to a call of a single vehicle accident.  The 17 year old female driver had lost control and flipped her vehicle, a VW Golf.  The driver, the lone occupant, was thrown from the vehicle and over the DND fence.  The fence had to be cut to allow the first responders to get to her.  The female was taken to the QEII where she under went surgery for non-life threatening injuries.  Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident.
 
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
