Motor vehicle crash in Cole Harbour, Cole Harbour, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP in Cole Harbour responded to a single vehicle crash on Hines Rd. in Eastern Passage.

At approximately 9:10 p.m., last evening the RCMP responded to a call of a single vehicle crash.

The 17-year-old female driver had lost control and flipped her vehicle, a VW Golf. The driver, the lone occupant, was thrown from the vehicle and over the DND fence. The fence had to be cut to allow the first responders to get to her. The female was taken to the QEII where she under went surgery for non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
