HRP release:
On June 14 at approximately 10:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision/hit and run near the 30 block of Herring Cove Road in Halifax. The caller, who was riding a motorcycle, reported that they had been hit by a vehicle that failed to stop and that they were following it. Officers located both the caller and the suspect in the 6500 block of Almon Street. The driver of the vehicle was arrested without incident. The caller was treated on scene by EHS for non-life-threatening injuries.
Kristin Coady, 27, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:
- Operation of a conveyance while impaired to any degree by alcohol or drugs or combination of both
- Operation of a conveyance while impaired by alcohol over 80mg
- Operation of a conveyance while prohibited
- Failure to stop after an accident
- Failure to comply with probation order
- Failure to comply with condition of release order (x3)
- Disobeying order of court
