Mounties investigate suspicious boat fire in Peggy’s Cove

From RCMP: Wednesday, August 11, 2010 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S.... Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Halifax District along with HRM Fire Services responded to the 12000 block of Peggys Cove Road this morning at 12:30 AM to a fishing boat on fire.

Wednesday, August 11, 2010 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S…. Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Halifax District along with HRM Fire Services responded to the 12000 block of Peggys Cove Road this morning at 12:30 AM to a fishing boat on fire.

A 25 foot long Fishing Boat Leon Robert II was moored 70 meters off shore and was on fire.  HRM Fire Services arrived on scene and had to wait for a Fire Boat to attend before the fire could be extinguished.  RCMP and HRM Fire Services are treating this fire suspicious in nature.
