Mounties nab Sackville purse snatcher

From RCMP:
On July 12, 2010 at approximately 5:15 PM members of Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Lower Sackville responded to a report of a robbery which had just occurred on Sackville Cross Road. 

The victim reported that a male known to her stole her purse, and had threatened to use bear spray.   Police responded and located the suspect nearby a short time later. He was arrested and found to be in possession of a knife.  Police Dog Services (K-9) were called in and police also located a can of bear spray.   The 18-year old male will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning, charged with Robbery and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
