At approximately 9:30 A.M. this morning several roommates were moving out of an apartment in the 0-100 block of Lakecrest Dr. in Dartmouth.
One of the roommate’s father was there assisting with the move. During the process the father and one of his son’s roommates became involved in a heated verbal altercation. As a result of this the roommate grabbed a large axe and swung it at the father. Luckily he did not hit anyone with the axe. The father, 48 years of age, backed away and called police. He was not injured. The male suspect, 27 years of age, left the apartment and has not yet been located by police. All parties involved in the incident were known to each other.
