Multiple tickets issued for improper use of bus lanes

Halifax Regional Police is reminding the public to obey the posted signs in relation to bus lanes throughout the region.

Yesterday, members of the Traffic Section issued 13 summary offence tickets in relation to the improper usage of bus lanes. The drivers were issued a summary offence ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to obey traffic signs and signals, an offence that carries a fine of $180 and two points on the driver’s license.
