West Hants RCMP Detachment has charged three people with multiple offences following a shoplifting call in Windsor.
On February 7, 2024, at approximately 10:14 a.m. West Hants RCMP officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business on Cole Dr. in Windsor.
Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop where the three occupants were arrested. During the initial investigation, the officers learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen and one of the occupants was wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant. Furthermore, officers learned the same vehicle had been involved in a theft of gas earlier in the day on Wentworth Rd. in Windsor.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located and seized ten bottles of vodka.
Andrew Bowie, 39, of Falmouth, Muriel Polley, 34, of Halifax, and William Walsh, 51, have been all been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.00;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime equal or under $5000.00.
Additionally, Bowie has been charged with:
- Theft (two counts)
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
All three accused were later released on conditions and will appear in Windsor Provincial Court on April 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
