Municipal recreation programs to resume Friday, Mar. 20

Thursday, Mar. 19, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that recreation programming at muncipally-owned facilities will resume tomorrow, Friday, Mar. 20.

Although most recreation facilities will open as per their regular schedule, residents should call ahead to individual facilities as there may be a delay or closure for their specific location. Additionally, residents should be aware that facility parking may be limited as snow removal continues.

Please note the Emera Oval will not re-open tomorrow morning as we continue to address significant snow accumulation on the oval surface and surrounding plaza.

The municipality thanks residents for their patience and understanding with program and service cancellations as a result of this week’s snow storm.
