Municipality offers day camp opportunities for children

Thursday, Feb. 16, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – Municipal Parks and Recreation is offering several day camp opportunities tomorrow (Friday) for children who would normally be in school. In response to the one-day strike tomorrow by public school teachers, municipal recreation staff is providing fun activities (games, crafts, and outdoor play) for children across the region between the ages of 5 and 12. All-day programming will begin at 8 a.m., and will conclude at 5 p.m. There will be a $25 registration fee per child, and openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis (space is limited).
