Musician Kate Schutt Pops In.

Before playing at the Carleton, Kate came in to our LIVE broadcasting studio to chat to Glenna Brown. Kate Schutt’s music is a sexy, edgey mix of original jazz and pop. Raised in Chadds Ford, PA, Kate Schutt studied the influence of jazz on modern poetry and jazz guitar. Now living in Toronto, Ontario, Kate is carving out a niche as a writer, arranger and performer of new jazz standards on both sides of the border. Kate won the Grand Prize in the jazz category of the 2007 John Lennon Songwriting Competition for her song ‘How Much in Love’.
