Natal Day solid waste collection

Wednesday, July 31, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – HRM would like to remind residents that there will be no municipal solid waste collection service on Natal Day Monday.

Curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled for Monday, August 5, will take place instead on Saturday, August 3.

Collection services can begin as early as 7 a.m. To ensure collection, residents may place materials curbside the evening prior to collection day.

The Otter Lake Waste Management Facility and the HRM Recycling Plant will be closed on Natal Day, Monday, August 5, but will be open regular hours on Saturday, August 3. HRM’s residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot at 20 Horseshoe Lake Drive will be closed on Saturday, August 3, reopening on Saturday, August 10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
