Monday, July 22, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – Beginning Wednesday, July 24, a new natural gas main and service line will be installed along Oxford Street between Jubilee Road and Coburg Street in Halifax.
The pipe installation and subsequent re-paving is expected to take two weeks between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Two northbound lanes and one southbound lane will be open to traffic during the evening rush hour from 4 – 6 p.m. During the remainder of the construction day, a minimum of one lane in each direction will be open to traffic at all times.
Motorists should expect delays and are requested to find alternate routes. Heritage Gas and HRM apologizes in advance for any inconvenience these delays may cause.
