Needs Store In Sackville Robbed

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are investigating an attempted robbery at a local convenience store in Sackville, Nova Scotia.
 
On September 1, 2011, 9:33 PM, RCMP responded to a an attempted robbery at the Needs store on Sackville Dr. in Sackville, Nova Scotia.   A white male, believed to be in his 30s,  entered the store with a black t-shirt over his face.  The suspect demanded cash and stated he had a gun.  The store clerk grabbed a metal rod and stated that police were on their way.  The suspect fled the store and was last seen running towards Sharon Dr.  No one was injured and no gun was seen. 
 
Suspect is described as :
 
White Male, 25-30 years old
5'9" medium build
short hair
white t-shirt and light coloured shorts
 
 
Police are asking anyone with information about this or any other incident to come forward.  People are asked to contact any RCMP office, Halifax Regional Police, or Crime Stoppers anonymously anytime at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.  Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced.  If police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.
