August is going to be awesome this year. Guess why?
Well, first, it’s my birthday month, so I’m going to try and spoil myself one way or another lol. Second, it is the return of one of the best things Annabelle has ever made – the Smoothie eyeshadow pencils.
I have reviewed the original 5 Smoothie eyeshadow pencils on this blog and raved about them a lot more on twitter, so you probably know by now how good they are. Consider this a refresh review, as there are 3 new colours that you don’t want to miss this summer.
From L-R: Acaidasiac, Cocoaloco and Licoriche. O.m.g look at the colours! The greedy mind of mine would be begging for more, if this is the direction Annabelle is taking.
A bit of background: The current 5 Smoothie shades – Grapefull, BluBomb, Absinthe-Minded, Melonade and MokaMirage, were meant to be Shoppers exclusives and were LEs. But they will be coming back, together with 3 new shades, in August, for a short little while (i.e. they are not permanent), at all stores where Annabelle is sold. So no more excuses for not getting them now, is there? 🙂
I was kindly sent these 3 for review, but when they are out in stores, I will be getting backups. Don’t want to ever run out of Acaidasiac or Licoriche.

These apply like butter on my hand, so soft and smooth. The colours stay true to what you see in the tubes. Same as the first 5, these 3 are not shimmery nor glittery, just has enough shine to make them interesting and not flat.
We now have a bright aqua, a bronze, and an opaque black. Smoky and bright eyes, here I come!
Now we would need yellow, white, and maybe orange/ peach pencils, or everything lol.
Let me echo the description from the company to conclude this review: These eye pencils are “not sticky, not oily, not transferable, not creasing/ smudging. No animal testing. No animal-by products. No preservatives. No paraffin. No mineral oil. No parabens. No joke!”. I think that’s pretty much sum things up 🙂
