A new service will allow most people with a Nova Scotia health card to access their vaccination records online – a faster, easier way to retrieve important healthcare information.
VaxRecordNS will list information since 2008 on school immunizations, some early childhood vaccinations such as measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), and COVID-19 vaccination. Over time, more vaccine records will be added.
“Having this new service in place will make it easier for people to access their own records and take work off the hands of our public health staff,” said Health and Wellness Minister Michelle Thompson. “We’re committed to investing in new systems and technology that will help us provide better and more reliable care to Nova Scotians, and that’s exactly what this service will do.”
People at least 16 years old may use VaxRecordNS and can register online at: https://vaxrecordns.nshealth.ca/ . The vaccination records of children and dependants under 16 years old can be connected to their parent’s or guardian’s VaxRecordNS profile.
More information about VaxRecordNS and the full list of vaccines it includes is available at: https://www.nshealth.ca/vaxrecordns
“I am so pleased Nova Scotians will now have a convenient and secure way to access their immunization records. VaxRecordNS will also help public health staff administer the records, saving valuable time and ultimately benefit our entire health system. Vaccines are the best way to protect ourselves, our families, our communities and our health systems from emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. VaxRecordNS will help everyone keep track of their records and stay updated on their vaccines.”

Medical Director Public Health, Nova Scotia Health
