Premier Stephen McNeil has appointed award-winning broadcast journalist Laurie Graham to his office as principal secretary.

“Ms. Graham distinguished herself as one of the best in her profession,” said Premier McNeil. “Her skill set and experience will be valuable additions to my office as we continue to serve the people of Nova Scotia.”

Ms. Graham started her journalism career in radio in her hometown of Sydney. She later joined CBC TV, going on to work as a national reporter, covering international stories in Israel, Afghanistan and Haiti and reporting from Parliament Hill for both CBC and CTV. Prior to her appointment she was CTV’s acting Ottawa bureau chief.

The appointment is effective Monday, March 14.
