No children injured after school bus crashes into house

A school bus crashed into multiple parked vehicles and a house on Executive Drive in Middle Sackville, N.S., on Tuesday afternoon. RCMP say the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. after the driver suffered a medical emergency. No students were on the bus at the time.

The male driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but there is no word on his condition. Witnesses who rushed to help said they performed CPR after noticing symptoms they believed were related to a heart attack.

The crash caused damage to several vehicles and the house’s porch and stairs. RCMP said no other injuries were reported. They did not provide details about which school the bus was associated with or the company employing the driver.

An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the crash. Traffic was temporarily impacted while emergency crews worked at the scene.
