No Service on Alderney Ferry route this morning

Monday April 14, 2014 – HRM residents are advised that there is no ferry service on the Halifax-Dartmouth route this morning due to a fuel pump failure on the Halifax III.

The ferry is currently undergoing repairs, and will hopefully be up and running in approximately two hours. The Dartmouth III is currently being used in service on the Woodside ferry route as the Woodside I is currently undergoing routine maintenance. Metro Transit has set up shuttles this morning to get commuters to both sides of the harbour. Bus shuttles on the Halifax side are running from the Water Street terminal, shuttles on the Dartmouth side are running from the Route 54 stop southbound (Alderney).

Metro Transit and Halifax Regional Municipality apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Residents can follow @hfxtransit and @hfxgov for additional information as it becomes available.
