North Street – Lane Drop

Monday, June 29, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a crew is currently working on North Street in Halifax below the Macdonald Bridge to fix a telecommunications outage in the area.

A bucket truck may be required at some point in this emergency work, in which case a single lane drop will be put in place in the lane that connects to Barrington Street headed downtown.

The repairs are expected to take less than two hours and should be finished before peak traffic begins at about 4 p.m. The work is not expected to affect any Halifax Transit bus stops.

Motorists should proceed carefully if travelling in the area. The municipality regrets any inconvenience these repairs might cause.
