Happy St. Patrick’s Day you guys! I am not drinking today (lo) nor wearing much green other than my liner, so I thought I would show you green nails.
OPI kindly sent over their Hawaii collection (Spring/ Summer 2015), I am over the moon.
Have never been to Hawaii, I now have this collection to be inspired by.
The collection is to picture the surf, sand and sunsets at Hawaii’s beautiful beaches, lush greenery, tropical flowers and colorful fish. Makes you want to hop on a plane right this instant huh?
The base on all my nails (and dominantly on my ring finger) is 2 coats of OPI My Gecko Does Tricks, a bright shimmery green. Was in the mood for more, so I grabbed some saran wrap 🙂
The “sponged in” colour (one coat) is OPI That’s Hula-rious!*, a pastel mint green.
It goes on nicely on top of My Gecko Does Tricks and let the shimmers shine through, very pretty. However, I was in a rush and the middle finger showed some streaks, so take your time with application for this one.
Throughout the NOTDs I do with this collection, you will notice 8 shades noted with an asterisk (*) – like That’s Hula-rious! above. They are to indicate the colours chosen to become paint colours at Clark+Kensington. If you happen to fall in love with one of these colours, now you can decorate your wall with it 🙂
Have fun with all kinds of green today. We are getting more snow tonight (like we didn’t get enough on Sunday already) so white is the only colour I see right now.
