This is a reswatch of one of the Ozotic shades I own. A few months back, I did a NOTD of Ozotic Pro 609 mentioning it was a shy holo, even under flash. If you don’t remember how it looked, feel free to click the link to see my post then.
I love the sparkles in this shade, but wish it had a stronger holo effect. Karen and Jackie suggested swatching it over a silver foil, so I did.
The base is China Glaze Millennium, a very strong foil which only took one coat to full opacity. Then I added 2 coats of Ozotic Pro 609 over top.
The result is much better, isn’t it? I’m not sure the holo got any stronger with a base but the shade looked more metallic with a shine. If a single polish could achieve this look, it would be awesome. But I treasure all my Ozotics – as they are just so hard to get a hold of, so I will be using this trick every time I wear those that are not strong enough.
Thank you ladies for giving me the idea. Love getting your comments 🙂
It was interesting that last time I wore 609, the weather wasn’t great. This time, it was raining and windy as well 🙁 It has been like this all week, the Buskers were in town and couldn’t get outside to perform. Looks like it’s gonna clear up on Friday, just in time for Sephora to take the stage. I will be stopping by the opening ceremony before work. Something to look forward to.
