A bonus NOTD today. It’s Halloween themed, why not right?
This time I used the Sephora Nail Blockbuster set – Never Say No and Sugar Coated as bases to imitate the dirt and the flesh, while Pole Dance as blood drops.
Never Say No is a taupe with beige shimmer, opaque with one coat, I was very happy with it.
Sugar Coated is a milky white, with a hint of baby pink, needs at least two coats. It serves the purpose of this mani, but I can’t imagine wearing it often by itself.
Pole Dance is a dark red, great as the blood colour. I just dotted away with the dotting tools to make drops and drips.
I managed to apply the top coat a little early on my index finger to create some smudges of the blood. Was not fast enough on other fingers, so they are clean 🙂
A blood splatter look would probably have more Halloween effect but I couldn’t be bother with cuticle cleaning up. Same reason I haven’t tried the gradient mani with a sponge 🙂
This closeup shot somehow brighten the red tone in Pole Dance a little too much. The above 2 pics would give you a better idea of the colour.
There you have it, the lazy version of a blood drop mani to trick-or-treat with tonight 🙂
It has been so cold in the last few days – I’m talking 0 degree (32F), I was worried Squirt wouldn’t be able to stay outside long. Good thing it is warming up as we head to tomorrow.
I just heard from a friend who is falling into a financial hardship, which made me sad. Her kids’ Halloween (and Christmas) is dampened this year. I am trying to help her the ways I can. So have fun tonight and count your blessings guys!
