NOTD: Yves Rocher Summer 2014

Last night was the last frost warning of the season, we were told lol.

Still can’t believe we have to put up with the cold way into May, but yes it happened.

Thought I would bring you the warmth at least on my nails today with Yves Rocher Summer 2014 collection.

If you recall, there are 5 mini nail polishes and a crackle, and I wore them all here 🙂

From thumb to pinky: Yves Rocher Gold, Lemon Yellow, Bright Pink, Copper Brown, Royal Blue, with Mediterranean Blue matte crackle on my thumb and ring finger.

The butterfly wings were done with a black nail art striper and a dotting tool with some silver nail polish, following the tutorial by cutepolish on YT (see below). Of course she did a much stellar job than me, but I tried 🙂

Despite the smaller brush which would require patience during application, these Yver Rocher nail polish are great. All of them are one coaters which I didn’t expect, dry quite shiny and last well, about 3 days.

And even though the crackle trend is pretty much over, Mediterranean Blue performs well, offers enough cracks that allow the base colour to show through, and it pairs up nicely with 4 out of 5 nail polish in the collection.

I totally plan to bring these with me while travelling for their size and quality. My favorites are Lemon Yellow (needless to explain) and Royal Blue.
