In this scam, the text message states that Nova Scotia Power has a refund for the customer with a specific dollar amount, and directs the recipient to click a link to access the funds. Recipients are advised not to click on these links. These texts are not from Nova Scotia Power. Nova Scotia Power does not communicate with customers about bill payments or credits via text message. Any time customers receive unexpected communications about bill payments or credits that appear to come from Nova Scotia Power, please call our Customer Care Centre at 1-800-428-6230 to confirm its legitimacy.
