Would you like an opportunity to meet your local officers and some of the volunteers that support police operations across Nova Scotia? RCMP detachments across Nova Scotia are hosting events and activities to celebrate Police Week 2015 and inviting the public to participate.
In support of National Police Week from May 10th to 16th, the RCMP will host open houses, BBQ’s and attend various events in the community to share information about public safety and security, as well as police programs and initiatives.
On May 13th from 4 p.m. to 8p.m., the RCMP is hosting an open houses and BBQ at its provincial headquarters on 80 Garland Avenue in Dartmouth. There will be representation from a number of units including the Explosives Unit, Polygraph, Under Water Recovery Team, Police Dog Services, Stetsons and Spurs, Crime Stoppers jail and more. In addition, a photo booth will be set-up so members of the public can get their photos taken with a Mountie in red serge.

Throughout the week, RCMP units will be profiled on the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Nova Scotia Facebook page so the public can learn more about how the we contribute to the safety and security of Nova Scotia, Canada and abroad.
