Nova Scotia RCMP concludes investigation into police-involved shooting in Bathurst, Dartmouth, N.S.

Nova Scotia RCMP has concluded an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred on January 12, 2015 in Bathurst, New Brunswick.

On January 13, Nova Scotia RCMP was requested by Bathurst Police Force to investigate a shooting whereby Michel Vienneau, 51-year-old of Tracadie-Sheila, was fatally wounded by police as part of an ongoing investigation. A team of Nova Scotia RCMP major crime investigators was assigned to investigate. The full investigation has been handed over to Public Prosecution Services New Brunswick who will review to determine if charges are appropriate.

The RCMP will not be commenting on the details of the investigation at this time.
