The Nova Scotia RCMP is honoured to receive a ‘Certificate of Recognition’ from Canadian Blood Services for our commitment to helping save lives through blood donation.

Every summer the RCMP participates in the annual ‘Sirens for Life’ blood drive with other first responders to supply life saving blood donations to people in need. As police officers, we have the unfortunate reality of responding to collisions and other accidents where victims are in dire need of blood.

For many years the RCMP has been a proud supporter of Canadian Blood Services because we see first hand why giving blood is so important.

Right now there is an urgent need for blood donors across Canada. 22,000 donors are needed by August 26 to ensure patients continue to have access to the blood and blood products they need.
